Marvel to Protect
A cultural mediation initiative in its own right:
Through an artistic direction focused on long, unedited sequences and contemplative, immersive long-takes, this odyssey creates a deep emotional connection between the public and the marine ecosystem.
Each film is a living memory of the ocean and its coastlines: a fragment of our shared heritage that it is our duty to protect.
Art is our first bridge to ocean conservation.
Partner Classes
The Roz-Avel School and the Sacré Cœur School in the town of Plougonvelin will regularly follow the expedition from home.
This project anchors a strong connection to our home port right from the start. Before departure, the crew will meet in person with the partner classes to introduce the team and the core mission of the Ocean Archive Expedition.
LIVE VIDEO-CONFERENCES
Throughout the voyage, the crew will hold regular live video sessions with the two partner classes. This interactive exchanges will share real-time updates from aboard the ship and insights into the scientific programs currently underway.
Educational Stopovers
A playful and immersive approach
During specific stopovers, the crew connects with youth and school groups to present the OAE’s mission and share the knowledge gained from the expeditions.
The Expedition Workshops
The crew conducts dedicated Ocean Literacy workshop within schools throughout the expedition. Guided by tools like the Curiosity Microscope and hydrophone recordings, young people peer into the infinitely small and listen to the largest marine mammals. They discover plankton and the invisible life of the ocean in an interactive way, directly connecting the rigor of our Scientific Odyssey to the wonder of discovery.
